Hi there, everyone!

A huge, heartfelt thank you to all my new followers. It was wonderful meeting some of you in Birmingham last week, and I’m already looking forward to making more memories in Warrington and Althorp soon!

🏔️ A New Peak for "Iridescence of a Raven"

I’ve been busy behind the scenes, and I am thrilled to reveal a brand-new cover for the book (see above!). I’ve traded the old look for something more visceral and atmospheric—a pathway through the mountains that perfectly captures the journey within the pages.

📚 In Great Company

I am still pinching myself at the incredible company my book has been keeping lately. It’s been an honor to share space with some of the absolute best in the business:

  • Sabine Durrant (Dead Heat): What an amazing, friendly lady. She was so gracious and loved the gift of my book.

  • John Marrs (Dead in the Water): You can see my book tucked right there alongside his—an absolute "pinch-me" moment!

  • Gillian McAllister (Caller Unknown): It was a joy to introduce her to my world.

  • Mark Edwards (The Wasp Trap): Such a fantastic host and a true gentleman. I really hope you enjoy the read, Mark!

  • Daniel Hurst (The Doctor),

  • Noelle W. Ihli, (Ask For Andre)

  • Freida McFadden (Dear Debbie): Speaking of Freida McFadden, I’ve found a new level of respect for her lately. Learning that she uses a pen name to protect her patients and staff resonated with me deeply. Like Freida, I use a pen name to protect my family’s privacy.

🕊️ The Heart Behind the Name

For those who don't know, Katherine Eileen Dowling will forever be my pen name. It is a living memory of the two best women in my world—the ones who raised me, loved me, and whom it was my greatest pleasure to care for.

I’m still plodding on with Book Two, but seeing the old cover sitting amongst John Marrs' books (see the photo below!) gives me all the inspiration I need to keep the "pen flowing."

Maybe I’ll even adopt that wig I wore for Mum... just to keep the mystery alive! 😉

Stay tuned for more updates from the Manor,

Kat (Katherine Eileen Dowling)
