Tears Like Rain
Tears like rain fall softly, December begins anew,
Pain surfaces like a wave, crashing over what is true.
I am a pebble on the sand, among stones cold and gray,
Alone in my grief's silent tide, as memories drift away.
December bites with icy breath, the loss so sharp and deep,
A day etched in my soul, in the shadows where I weep.
Seaweed tumbling in winter's grip, tossed by bitter cold,
My tears fall like winter's rain, my heart feels frail and old.
I cannot breathe this ache inside, it takes control of me,
A storm within my chest, a silent, aching sea.
Lost in the tide of sorrow, carried on the wind’s forlorn song,
In the cold and lonely winter, where I don’t belong.
